Closed betaGiftJar lets you keep a personal wish list, share it with the friends you choose, and quietly coordinate who gives what — so nobody buys the same present twice, and nobody has to ask "so what do you actually want?" a week before your birthday.
Visibility is set on each wish separately — everyone, a specific group like "Family", or nobody but you. Not one setting for the whole list.
A friend can quietly reserve a wish so others know it's taken. You decide in your own settings whether you get to see that a reservation exists at all — full surprise stays possible.
Several friends can chip in toward one expensive wish and track who pledged what, with the organizer closing the collection when it's done.
Birthdays of everyone you're connected with, with an optional reminder ahead of time so the good ideas don't arrive too late.
It never moves money. Amounts shown for a reservation or a group gift are only a record of what people intend to give. GiftJar does not process payments, hold funds, or store card details — settling up happens between friends, outside the app.
It does not send you marketing. The only email GiftJar sends is a one-time verification code when you create an account with an email address, triggered by that sign-up and nothing else. There are no newsletters, no promotional email, and no mailing list to end up on.
GiftJar is a mobile app for iOS and Android, currently in closed beta and not yet published on the app stores. If you were sent an invite link, ask whoever invited you for the install link as well.
